Blue Dragonfly is Back!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone on my xanga brought to my attention that Blue Dragonfly is back!!!! http://www.blue-dragonfly.org

Now, i did a little bit of reading and its not the "original" site from the original creator, but a former dragonfly with good coding skills, a good memory, and who wanted to give all former blue dragonflies a sanctuary again...

"In 2001, an end was finally brought about: bluedragonfly.org was created - a website for those who really did have eating disorders, for those who had no choice, for those who craved support and shunned attention. True to its name, it went through many transformations, from membership-only to public and back to membership before being crippled by a virus in 2005. The site was successfully resuscitated within a few months, minus many of the perks that had unfortunately been permanently destroyed, but it was entirely shut down in July of 2007.

The next summer, I began work on a doppelganger site, hoping to reconstruct what bits and pieces I could clearly recall. It was slow going, and money is an ever-looming problem, but so far it has been a success. There are countless rumors about the previous owner - the creator of bluedragonfly.org - but none have been confirmed, and so I won't spread them here. The original site is still unavailable, so I had to purchase a new domain for it, blue-dragonfly.org. This is still our BDF, though, still our sanctuary, free of the "let's all die together" mentality of pro-ana sites, and I hope to maintain it for years to come. As long as this sickness plagues us, and as long as society shuns us, we will continue to band together in the dark corners of our world and fight. We deserve victory, but if it remains out of our reach, we will settle for support."
